The BiPSA Unit Integrator summarizes a series of positive and negative whole numbers (integers) into a single summary value (positive, negative, or zero). The summary is computed through the BiPSA formula carefully crafted to be positive/negative neutral, and give more weight to higher numbers. The BiPSA integration removes the arbitrary assumptions that contaminate other formulas like arithmetic mean (assumes equal 'distance' between consecutive numbers), geometric mean (assumes square root relationship), and median extraction (biased: -1,0,5 yields 0). Application: The BiPSA Unit Integrator (BiPSA-UI) is applicable to conflict resolution over a binary question. Given a question for which the possible answers are: (1) yes, (2) no, (3) I don't know, and given a group of respondents to this question, one could represent their answers as positive whole numbers (if they answer the question in the affirmative), negative whole numbers (if they answer the question in the negative), and zero if they can't decide. The absolute value of each number represents the degree of confidence of that respondent in his, her (or its) answer.

By entering the various answers to the BiPSA Integrator one would compute the integrated answer of the group as a whole. This integrated answer represents the combined wisdom of the community of respondents.

Illustration: can the team finish the project they work on, on time? The project manager has an opinion, but the rest of the team is knowledgeable too.
